Mountain Memories at ThorpeWood
All events booked at ThorpeWood are managed by Mountain Memories at ThorpeWood. Julie Castleman, the Owner/Director has been guiding couples through the wedding process since ThorpeWood opened its doors in February 2000. Julie and her team help guide couples through the planning process, as well as coordinate the wedding rehearsal and run your wedding day. This wonderful team of professionals ensure all needs are met as a couple plans the most important moments of their lives, while also helping make their wedding dreams a reality.
ThorpeWood is located on 155 pristine acres, located on Catoctin Mountain where couples can have an exquisite event in a natural setting. The stunning, rustic timber-framed lodge has a 30-foot stone fireplace, which can provide a beautiful backdrop for celebration.
Mountain Memories at ThorpeWood offers numerous outdoor ceremony sites, which include: a Pine Cathedral, an arboretum, a rustic barn, stone bridge, a pavilion, pasture areas, a beautiful willow pond or in the winter months in front of a roaring fire in the Lodge.
Our facility rental rates range from $5,500–$7,200 depending on the day and time of year. We have peak, off peak and winter month rates, and also offer different rates for Friday, Saturday and Sunday weddings. Get in touch for what that rate includes.
We rent the property for a ceremony only as available January, February, March and December for $1,700 for 4 hours, or in April, July, August and November on Sunday’s only for a cost of $1900. The 4 hours include: 2 hours for getting dressed and pre-ceremony pictures at the lodge (hair and makeup done offsite), 1 hour for ceremony, 1 hour for post-ceremony photo’s on the property.
